Deleting the app from your phone does not automatically cancel your subscription because your billing is tied to your Apple ID, not the app itself.
You must explicitly cancel the subscription through Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions to halt any further charges. If you only delete the app, Apple will continue billing you until you take steps to cancel.
