Minimum distance between ball and indoor net or screenUpdated 6 hours ago
Indoor tracking depends on giving the ball enough space to travel.
The system needs time to capture the ball in motion before it hits the net or screen.
Too little distance limits what the camera can see.

Minimum Distance to the Net or Screen
- Place the ball at least 8 ft (2.4 m) from the impact surface
- Measure to the point where the ball hits the net or screen
This ensures the system can track the ball properly before impact.
Ideal Distance from Ball to Phone
- Position the phone about 4 ft (1.2 m) behind the ball
This creates the correct viewing zone for detection and tracking.
Why Distance Matters
- More space allows the camera to capture early ball flight
- Better tracking improves speed and flight calculations
- Short distances can lead to missed or inaccurate shots
